Beginning Scent work with young dog

Fred Hassen of Sit Means Sit Dog Training, is seen here with his 1 year old Belgian Malinois 'Rex', playing a fun little scent game of finding his toy. This is the first time that Rex has been exposed to this particular game. The dog cannot actually see the toy, so the beginnings of having him use his nose is established.

Scent hounds include: American Foxhound, Basset Hound, Otterhound, Beagle, Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, Black and Tan Coonhound, Bloodhound, Plott (a new breed to the AKC this year!!!!), Dachshund, English Foxhound, and Harrier. Also Norwegian Elkhound and Rhodesian Ridgeback in this group.
