RAF dog Jasper in action (Lincolnshire Echo)
Every newly-trained RAF police dog is worth nine men on patrol and, with the increasing threat of terrorism and the country's engagement in two wars, the bases need their help. RAF Waddington has the largest police dog section in the air force - and every night the dogs keep their spy planes including the AWACS, Nimrod and Sentinel from harm. Now, using the latest training techniques introduced just last year, those dogs are tougher and cleverer than ever before.
